The Azcoa Olive Oil Extra Virgin DOP (protected designation of origin) was selected under the heading “our choice” in the supplement on the olive oil sector of the weekly newspaper Expresso. Azcoa Olive Oil is a protected designation of origin (PDO) olive oil produced in Trás-os-Montes (TOM). It is produced from the Cobrançosa, Verdeal and Madural olive varieties. The picking period is between October and January. Azcoa contains only the olives from the tree, the ones from the ground are not used.
